This ring was handmade using the sand casting method- an ancient technique of making jewelry in which liquid metal (in this case recycled .925 Sterling Silver scrap metal) is poured into a sand mold and then solidified. Each piece has its own unique “sand marks” which were left in order to appreciate the nature of its process.
